Remaking a GBA game in Unreal 5

I've decided to take up another project!

I've been meaning to do something in 2D for a long long time now and I believe I have the perfect candidate on my hands. I decided to remake Spider-Man: Mysterio's Menace in Unreal Engine 5.

The main reason I'm sticking with Unreal for this is that learning a new game engine would distract from my progress in Unreal and I'm most familiar with Unreal anyway.

(The real reason is that Unity doesn't want to work on my PC, haven't been able to fix it in over a year so I've given up with it)

I've currently got Web Swinging set up, I'm working on the Crawling systems next so I can finalize the basic traversal systems included in the original. Which means I can start building the levels and run them start to finish.

Part of Pier 54 is implemented, but I'm having to piece together the map bit by bit as I walk through it and it's gonna be a while till I get all the levels in.

THE HARDEST part of this project has been the animations, as there are absolutely zero decompilations/game rips of the original so I'm having to trace all of them by hand from a badly recorded video. Granted, if my videos weren't all blurry and messed up I'd be smooth sailing. I would appreciate any tips on how to record a GBA emulator without compromising the quality/color of each pixel.

That's all for now, stay tuned for updates!
